Of Childhood and Destiny

We grew up together.
We used to play under the rain, run like there's no tomorrow and kiss the sun together..
We were so happy and were so much more carefree back then.
We were each other's first bestest friend!
However, we had to grow up and face the world on our own.

All cliches may be said upon writing this but the fact remains that our lives have changed.
Was that for the best? Who can tell?
One thing for sure though, we just can't play the same way as it was before.
Sure we can be civil and be a neighbor towards each other but the genuine friendship isn't their anymore..
By that, I remember the memories when we absolutely cared about nothing but just the chocolates that our other neighbors would be giving us and share the treat with each other. Lovely, wasn't it?

The same holds true in every other relationship we make. We meet people and eventually they'll leave us. Don't worry. It's not just one sided. There are also people in our lives that we choose to leave behind for reasons that we feel are necessary. We can't blame them if they left us behind as much as no one can blame us if we chose to run away and/or move on.

Now going back to childhood friends destiny and skipping the cliches of we-meet-someone-to-learn-a-whatever-lesson, well, the reality is that, we can never live the same lives with everyone.

Some of us are just meant to live the better and easier part of life, while some should play the part of doing the dirty work.

What? Yes. I just said that.

Why? Because we were all created uniquely. All of us has the chance to live a different kind of life not counting the material things that the world has to offer. And I genuinely believe that. After all, what is the world compared to the Creator Himself?

Where's God in the picture? That is when we look amidst the state of life that each of us is living and cherish that certain relationship, which makes the meaning of life, that we share with our friends. After all, we're here on earth to bring Christ to others especially to the MORE underprivileged ones. You have to agree with me on this. The mere fact that we're able to read a blog is a great blessing itself! Some are not even able to read at all you see!

Another thing that we must also keep in our minds is that, life here in Earth is only temporary and there's heaven which awaits us where the feast is bound eternally. :)

BTW, I always tend to forget these kind of things.. So while I'm doing this blog, I'm evangelized by the leading of the Holy Spirit as well. I just should always keep that in my mind! And in the deepest of my heart as well!

<< 2 Corinthians 4:18 >>

While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
